As a Boston area native, I was hoping this would happen, and the news that Scots shipped cones over ahead of time to make sure that they could do. This brings me great joy, and the news that they deployed little cones for the baby ducks in the “Make Way for Ducklings” procession statue

I'm not sure if this is true or just a neat little urban myth that sprung up around this, but people in Glasgow now say that the roles have reversed. The cone is so iconic that people on nights out will nick it and the authorities will then replace it with a new one 😂

I studied at the University of Glasgow and there's a statue of Lord Kelvin, an alumni of the uni, the guy who gave us the Kelvin temperature scale, and of course there's a cone on his head
