Neither of these things is correct. They removed the card bc they can charge more for storage and force you to pay to use their cloud storage. They are betting on how lazy people are. There was push back when they took SD the second time but Samsung had already put their money in cloud storage, they weren't going back. Thos is why I don't use the cloud and just download everything off my phone.

All I know is Google has been wanting me to pay a monthly fee for more storage, I refuse though. I'd rather move or lose stuff off my phone than pay a dime more.

I have never paid for cloud storage in my life. If my phone gets full I clean it or I backup the important data to my 4 terabyte PC. I will open a new Google account before I pay for storage or buy another SSD. I will never pay for cloud storage because if you don't pay they will delete all of your data.

my samsung a07 still has expandable storage one of the reasons I got it as a second phone along with a headphone jack, 5000mah battery, 128gb internal storage and a screen you can replace for 20$ all right under $150

As soon as my slots were taken away, I set up my own personal cloud At Home, backup/save all data instantly but on MY Own Server. Cloud Storage is simply a remote computer that OTHERS can access.
