My advice that I’ve gleaned from shooting, upgrade as necessary. If you don’t know your limits before modifying, you won’t know your limits after either. If you haven’t gotten to a point in your driving skill that you are going “ugh I know I can do better, the car just can’t take it with this (suspension, power, downforce, etc.)” You don’t need that upgrade yet.

my number one tip is to learn your cars limits and your limits with the car before you start throwing power at it. learn how it reacts in different types or corners and weathers and road conditions. build the suspension to better at all of those stock then throw power slowly when you can react its limits.

Watching dudes having 600+hp complain that 200+hp isn't fun. Then I watch their bucket of bolts on the lift for the 3rd week in a row as they try to fix their broken axle for the 8th time because they buy cheap replacement parts that are only meant to handle low torque at most.
