Mosul, Iraq. 2017. this footage captures American special operations forces again during the Battle of Mosul, which is one of the largest and most complex urban combat operations since the fall of Fallujah. SEAL Team 7 operated alongside Iraqi Security Forces and Kurdish Peshmerga in the grinding street-by-street push to reclaim the city from ISIS. the Battle of Mosul ran from October 2016 to July 2017 an estimated 900,000 civilians were displaced. this specific conflict was a bloody and generally terrible experience for the civilians and all fighters involved. coalition SOF served in advisory and direct action roles throughout - often directly on the front line. #mosul #sealteam7 #navyseals #iraq #specialoperations
