@trinityren2: Man, I absolutely love the human brain and what it can do. #languagelearningtipsandtrics #comprehensibleinput #spanishforbeginners #LanguageLearning #spanishlanguagelearningtips
My brain knows every language but for some reason when I try to speak it, it’s sometime difficult to quickly translate it to English

Yep multilingual people do this by default. We don’t learn the translated word, we learn the context and when it’s used. So you end up understanding words you cannot translate and comprehending the essence of the language.

As a linguist that’s how I learned English for 3 months each time I go to sleep I would play an audio book ( 2000 English words ) when I went back to school I would know English words not how to write it but I knew it 😂😂 my teach was stunned

This is truly the most effective way to learn languages, this is also akin to how we learn to first speak as children hence why it’s so effective

It works. I've spend a lot of time in Greece as a kid due to medical reasons. Everyone spoke Greek there (obviously). I can speak basic Greek without "learning it". It's not C2 Greek but I can function.

So y’all don’t realise that we quite literally did this as children. before learning at school, you learnt how to speak because of the things you’d hear everyday.

Thank you for this. It’s so hard to find Spanish teaching apps that teach through comprehensible input. I don’t understand why comprehensible input is so slept on.
