Literally have it now and it needs to be drained so badly the bulge is huge and it’s killing me. I can’t sit right or walk from the pressure 😭😭😭

i’ve had one for 6 months. i went to my pcp, who immediately sent me to the er; he said it was too big and would be too painful for him to do it i would definitely need to be put under for it to be dealt with. so i go to the er and they were gonna send me for a ct but did an ultrasound instead and said it was deep but with the area it’s in they’d rather try antibiotics and if i had a gastroenterologist they should be able to take care of it since they decided against surgery. so 3/4 months later i go to my gastro and they do another round of antibiotics and it ofc did nothing just like the first round didn’t. they said at my 3 month check up (in september) they might do another round of antibiotics or send me to another specialist to talk about surgery. i wish the drainage would’ve happened at the beginning of the year it’s awful. september makes 7/8 months.

I thought it was another bartolin’s abscess, I went to the ER because I was so sick I thought I was dying (they did think I was going septic) she took one look at my “bartolin’s” and was like, oh no, this is not good. CT, IV antibiotics, and a perinatal abscess incision and drainage later, thankfully we caught it before I went septic but I went south really fast. Also, bartholin’s abscess hurts more.

I caught it after 2 days in early stages they did perform and drainage and gave me antibiotics now i dont have any sort of pain nor leaks from the drainage im i safe or still need to check?
