@thecasewhisperer: Coca-Cola’s volume problem won’t be solved by selling more Coke. Here’s the move most candidates completely miss #cocacola #mckinsey #caseinterview #mbb #consulting
You just literally said add more products to the portfolio, 20 seconds before saying adding more products was a bad idea

Easy: more sales = more revenue. Hence they should aim for higher sales.

I'd recommend reinstating the original ingredients from 1903 to capitalize on brand heritage and boost demand.

Literally contradicted yourself. Told us not to say launch new products and proceeded to describe the launch of a new product.

This is exactly what McKinsey does 😂 Give advice with as many words as possible, on things the company already knows. Like, of course you need to focus on the next few generations

You have still introduced a new product. I recommend you ask them whether they want short term or long term profit. If it’s short term tell them to sell their recipe if it’s long term maybe focus on acquisitions

Depends if it aligns with their long-term strategy. Yes expanding into alcohol market sure, what about stakeholder interests and power influence? Obviously not saying you’re wrong but there’s so much to consider which I guess is a strength if you’re able to show you’re aware in an interview

coca cola is a non alcoholic product by nature and is in the same pool of goods from the perspective of a consumer whom is skipping the booze that night

This sets an unrealistic interview standard for recruiters and interviewers. Your answer is a prepared analysis, you’ve had time to think about it deeply. How could you possibly expect a candidate to come up with this on the fly in an conversation that had no upfront hint a Coca-Cola question would be asked. It’s just ridiculous.

So basically you are saying launch a new product. And this is the second thing you said you should not say because it is boring.

I would probably take a supply chain, optimization angle here. Most enterprise level shippers, such as Coca-Cola, have outdated and manual processes that could be streamlined well beyond the current capabilities. This isn’t an appeal to AI usage, however, that is one of the obvious candidates for the optimization.
