@jaaliyahs: My granny made this cake for us EVERY Sunday after church🥹 a certified classic😍 RECIPE: In a large bowl, add your dry ingredients: 3 cups all purpose flour 1 tsp baking powder 1 tsp salt 1 tsp baking soda Mix together & set aside WET INGREDIENTS: 1 cup melted @Kerrygold USA unsalted butter 1 cup white sugar & 1 cup light brown sugar Blend your butter & sugar together and then add 1 tbsp of vanilla, 1 tsp @mccormick butter extract & 1 tbsp sour cream, blend until your batter is lighter in color. 1/3 cup vegetable oil 3 eggs ROOM TEMPERATURE Blend until smooth & then add half of your dry mixture, blend, then add 1/2 cup buttermilk & then remaining dry mixture and blend until smooth. Butter & flour your cake pans (I used @Wilton Cakes 8x3inch pans) & bake on 350 degrees for 30-35 minutes, poke at the 30 minute mark to check if finished. Let your cakes cool while you work on your homemade chocolate frosting. CHOCOLATE FROSTING- 2 cups powdered sugar 1/2 cup cocoa powder 1 stick softened unsalted butter and 1/4 cup milk of choice (I used @Chobani extra creamy oat) Blend until smooth, remove the tops of your cakes to get a flat surface & wait at least 20-30 minutes before frosting your cake & enjoy! #baking #fyp #homemade #chocolate #grandma
