For the people who are struggling to understand hydration. if you drink plain water it does not hydrate you. if you drink water with electrolytes (SALT, potassium, magnesium ext..) your body will absorb the water hydrating you. it's why we brine meat. a brine is salt water . it's called osmosis we learned this in highscool.

Unless you are doing a lot of things that make you sweat, you do not need these things. As many people have said in the comments they are full of sodium. If you want a cheap real electrolyte packed drink, coconut water.

I learned this the hard way. I was drinking a gallon a water a day. But no electrolytes. I started having heart problems. When my doc saw my blood work, they said I was drinking so much water I was flushing all my sodium. Once I started drinking electrolytes my heart problems went away.
