Damn this makes me regret giving up religious studies in college, that's so fascinating! I remember one of my processors once also saying there were originally actually also a lot of different gods in the Hebrew tradition rather than one by different names, as is often claimed now. Could you also confirm/discuss this?

The more I think about it, god really just acts more like an abusive parent than an actual creator.
