I ALWAYS say something. And if a parent has a problem with it/me correcting their child, I will respond with, “I’m not correcting your child, I’m teaching mine how to defend themselves.” And then immediately turn to my kiddo and say “if you don’t like what someone is doing, it’s okay to speak up” and walk away.

Genuinely, why are the parents not stepping in when their kids are being mean?!!! Yes, I teach my nanny children to advocate for themselves. AND I have a conversation with my nanny family’s to have these conversations with their kids about advocating for themselves as well.

it’s SO annoying it always breaks my heart. me sweet nanny girls birthday was last week and she got the CUTEST tinkerbell dress and was so excited to make friends at the lake and show them her new dress and they just kept laughing at her😭 i corrected them and told them to leave her alone but it was so sad because she is such a social butterfly!!

i have cried before because kids are mean to my nanny kids and if it's really bad i genuinely do remind them to be nice or talk to their parents because it's so mean and hurts ME as well

100% would say something. As a nanny it is our responsibility to step in when needed, especially if they are not at the age to be able to stick up for themselves.

Oh, I say something! Some kids were trying to bully my kiddo with autism... girl I climbed up there so fast and the look on their faces when I called them out... satisfying.😅

If someone is being mean to my nanny kids I will always advocate for them. I have no problem correcting another child’s behavior if it’s negatively affecting my nanny boys

I 100% step in in these situations. Accidents happen but the moment a kid is being mean on purpose and their adult isn’t correcting it, I’m stepping in.

Oh I STRAIGHT UP walk over to the other child and explain that the behavior is not acceptable. In my experience they aren’t disciplined by their own adult so when another adult does they’re a little shocked. I shut it straight down in the kindest but stern way

I had a similar thing happen to me at the park where kids were throwing wood chips at my nanny kids. Their moms were at the benches talking but I had no problem stepping in to correct their behavior because like why are we being mean??

U did right! I do the same, its not about ”getting wet” anymore it got 2 a point they bullying n thats not ok! And nobody said anything??? Wow! No worries, I diciplain ur kids 2! Haha u did good sis! ♥️🙏

I give my nanny kids a chance to stand up for themselves and if the problem continues I will step in and tell the other child to quit it.

If it’s not something that will hurt my nanny kid, I try to stay back and let them work it out. Or I’ll give my NK advice on how to handle it. Then if that doesn’t work I’ll for sure step in! We don’t like bullies around here

yea when my nanny toddler gets bullied i’m stepping in immediately No shame lol umm no because he’s the sweetest kindest , empathetic soft hearted child and i’m not mean to other children but I immediately put a stop to it

It’s normal and ok to correct people kids idk why people make a big deal about it, I do it all the time because kids need to be corrected, they are not just perfect all the time.
