I love this so much. It’s like the difference between seeing life through the lens of gratitude versus the lens of lack. The perspective we choose doesn’t just shape what we notice, it quietly influences how we move through the world, the decisions we make and ultimately the life we create

A YouTuber I watch regularly, who’s always trying new things, says the phrase “I’ve never done this before, I’m kind of excited” before going to do whatever it is, even if it’s really mundane. That little phrase has changed my life. Nervousness and excitement are physiologically experienced the same way in the body. Reframing your nerves as excitement is such a powerful tool.

I think the biggest point here is to thoughtfully and intentionally ask ourselves why we believe what we believe and whether or not we still believe it. Assess and reassess. Always.

I always said, “if I went to law school, I’d never lose another argument” like I’m good good on my own, but going to school to hone my craft? I’d be ✨unstoppable✨ my enemies should be grateful 💁‍♀️

I felt so much shame around thrifting as a teen. At 40, my entire wardrobe is mostly $1 per item, i play with my style so much, and when I no longer like something, I redonate it back lol. i take my kids with me and they love it!!! they love that we can find things we're so cheap 🤣🥰

A great example is when someone is trying something new and says, “it’s not terrible” or “I don’t hate it.” Why not just reframe it to “it’s surprisingly good” or “it’s interesting” or talk about attributes instead of straight to negative framing for a positive experience?

Is this framing: I allow debt only if I’ll earn from it eventually (i.e. property) I don’t allow debt if I’ll lose money (i.e. holiday loan)
