@stalkers.canada: Daniil Matin of Toronto, Ontario, was sentenced to life in prison with no chance of parole for 25 years after being convicted of the first-degree murder of former girlfriend Marina Nagolia. Prosecutors said Nagolia had ended their four-year relationship and rejected Matin’s attempts at reconciliation shortly before the killing. Court heard Matin killed Nagolia in her Richmond Hill home in August 2023 during the commission or attempted commission of a sexual assault. Police found her body during a welfare check. Prosecutors said Matin tried to stage the scene and conceal evidence after the murder. He also received a lifetime weapons ban and a no-contact order with Nagolia’s family.
