What I love about Canada is the fact that people here are kind. People care about each other. Given the choice between paying a bit more taxes or having people suffer because they can’t afford a hospital bill, we choose to pay more. Cause that’s the right thing to do. Canadians understand that giving makes you happier than wealth. We see all the American celebrities with all their money and we see how profoundly unhappy they are. Listen to “American Woman” by the Guess Who and maybe you can start to understand.

That’s easy! I’m so frustrated! 1. Cost of living
2. Housing affordability
3. Healthcare access and wait times
4. Grocery prices
5. Immigration policies
6. Government spending and deficits
7. Economic uncertainty

I love the way the government takes your pay and gives to everyone that is not canadian.
I love the way they raise house prices
I love the way they keep bringing more in when they cant take care of the people living here.
I love the way government argues about the same topic rather then telling truth. maybe 3 strike rule. don't answer questions on 3rd time asked they lose their seat
love the high crime and t h e catch and release not holding anyone accountable for their crimes.
love the high prices for cost of living
love them taking away freedom of speech
love high taxes and continously rising the rate to take more and supply nothing except giving to every other country but ours
that is just some things to love

Canada is not like it used to be. It's too costly to live here anymore and I cannot wait to move to the states.

Nothing. Honestly I make more money than my parents where my dad was a teacher and my mom stayed at home and I’m struggling. I’m sick of the weather with only 3 months of warm weather and it rains every weekend yet we have a burn ban. Groceries are INSANE and the taxes don’t stop. I get no social service help I just fund all these people for their grocery rebates and gst rebates and whatever rebate everyone gets.

I love my country and would never leave here. Safety, cleanliness, friends, beauty. If you have the means, there is no better country. Taxes are high but the pros outweigh the cons for us. Is it perfect? Of course not.

So I’m 65 years old, on CPP, OAS, GIS and RRIF. I’m content. But if I was in my 20’s or 30’s I would move to the US. I have a good life here in Canada. I enjoyed getting educated and working in Canada. Times have changed.

I’ve been listening to your voyage, and I think a lot of the reasons why you left were circumstantial to your own personal life. We’re very happy here in Montreal. My in laws live in the states, and I personally wouldn’t trade spaces. I love that we have a country that believes in equality. Healthcare is a right. That we should get services for our taxes. This, to me, shows a country that values our fellow human beings. We’re far from perfect, but id prefer these values that the individualism in the states.

You can ask that question to someone in any country and the issues are the same. What do I like about Canada? Good people, fantastic outdoors, good healthcare, good education, good economic opportunities relatively safe neighbourhoods. Is everything perfect certainly not but overall we live a pretty good life.

We are planning on leaving because of cost of living. It’s way too expensive, can’t get a house for less than 600k groceries cost a fortune and we pay around 40% in taxes. I’m so over it here.

I think Trump has a big part in this so called recession. As Canada adjusts and moves away from a very unreliable trading partner in the US. There will be some growing pains. I admit Canada is not perfect but it is much better than any other country.

Most of the baby boomers are not frustrated as they no longer work and don’t feel the same pain everyone else feels and just blame trump for everything
