My dad had was intubated despite a DNR due to circumstances. When the surgeon came to remove the tube I warned him my dad would be pissed and he laughed it off. My dad 90 year old Scottish dad’s first words were ‘fucking let me die’ poor surgeon was shook.

It wasn’t a note but I had to get a translator because my patient kept repeating the same phrase in French over and over. It translated to “the nurse is a demon” 😩👹

I had a patient blathering and then she would say (clearly) “I can’t speak, listen…” and then unintelligible blather. I asked her if she could write. For TEN MINUTES she wrote a frickin novel, underlining, exclamation points. Hands it to me. Nonsense. Raging UTI. I kept the note. I showed it to her when she was better. She laughed her ass off.

I had a patient with ALS and one of those computers that he can communicate with his eyes. This man had me stood there while he spelled “you’re a bitch” with his eyes. I laughed at his face cause I had a long night running around and being patient with him 😂💀
