Plenty of powder space for folding and sorting and beds maybe underneath the cabinets at extra place for Storage such an important room. I would make it as inviting as possible, and not look like an afterthought. I would definitely finish the ceiling.

If you’re putting a shower in the basement, make sure you have ventilation! That steam from the hot water will cause mold. ❤️

Laundry is a non stop chore, so finish the ceiling ( drop) and make it as cozy as possible! Definitely add a folding area and shelves for detergent, etc.

Build drying racks since that’s gonna be your laundry room. Really nice to have when you have clothes that can’t go in the dryer. I have to hang. And it looks like you have a lot of dirty clothes so maybe dirty clothes hamper wall.

Definitely need shelving, a place to hang laundry that needs to be air dried, folding station, cabinets for storage. I think a lighter color to make it seem brighter.
