i don’t like amber because she is petty and immature because after she found out who he was instead of just breaking up with him, because couldn’t handled having a bf who is busy being a hero, (which fair enough). But instead she kept playing games with him guilt tripping him, and essentially forced him to tell her the truth… that shows she can be manipulative.. if she had just dumped him after finding out the truth i would have liked or understood but instead she CHOSE TO PLAY games with mark, because he couldnr be available for her, All the time.. also it shows her lack of empathy, because the fact that she was mad about him “not having time for her” when she knew be was out being a hero.. protecting people.. but i guess accordinf to her mark spening time with her is more important then the peoples life he was saving… like again its fine if she cabt handle being in a relationship with a hero, no one is forcing her she could have chose to leave agter finding out but instead she plays games, and tries to guilt trip him…

Amber isn't very well-written, though. They wanted her to be smart so they had her figure out that Mark is invincible. The problem is that they had already shown her insulting him for "running away" during a dangerous situation. This makes her look unreasonable because she should know that he was saving people. I think they tried to correct this in season 2 but made her personality feel too different, which was just kind of jarring. Overall the relationship felt too drawn-out with too much unnecessary drama.

She knows Mark is Invincible the while time, and STILL gets mad at and breaks up with him when he leaves their date to save the people around her, INCLUDING HER, from villain attacks. Now, it would be one thing if her reason was just that she doesn't want to deal with dating a hero, but no, she breaks up with him because he keeps leaving their dates to go save countless lives and wants to keep his secret identity a secret so his family and loved ones can't be targeted. That's just idiotic.

Amber knew Mark was invincible yet still complained when he left to save HER from the robots. She knew he was invincible, she saw mark run off and then a second later Invincible saved her. How in the hell does that not make her annoying
