@bastbrothers: If you want a hydrangea hedge for full sun, skip the old-school hydrangeas and plant this instead. This is Limelight Prime, the improved version of the classic Limelight hydrangea. It has stronger stems that are less likely to flop, blooms earlier, and stays a more manageable size, making it perfect for creating a flowering hedge in Zone 7 (hardy 3-9). You'll get months of creamy white blooms in summer that gradually age to beautiful shades of pink, red, and burgundy in the fall. Plant them about 4-5 feet apart, give them full sun, and prune in late winter or early spring since they bloom on new wood. More tips: 🌿 Give them at least 6 hours of sun for the strongest stems and best flowering. 🌿 Water deeply the first year while establishing. 🌿 Prune in late winter or early spring since they bloom on new wood. 🌿 Deer may browse occasionally, but panicle hydrangeas tend to be more reliable than many other hydrangea types. One of the easiest hydrangeas to grow—and one of our favorite hedge plants. 🤍🌿 #Hydrangea #LimelightPrime #Zone7Garden #HydrangeaHedge #ProvenWinners @provenwinners

SarahbytheSouth :
They are so great. I have a hedge of primes planted around our rather tall decking in the back of our home( we live on a hill). I think some are in their third season in the ground. They are looking the best they ever have and are very sturdy and structured. What is planted in front of these in your video? I’m thinking i need a little structure and winter interest in front of mine.
