THE coming of age story. If Hasbro actually tried to properly write him, I am beyond convinced that Rodimus would’ve been the greatest character in all of fiction, especially considering the time he was created. Unlike the perfect and wise Optimus, he’s inexperienced, impulsive, and unserious. He’s everything Optimus wasn’t, but that’s the beauty of it. Optimus is a typical hero, the incredible leader. Rodimus is more relatable, a young kid who’s forced to become the leader of the universe and deal with the pressure of it all. Learning to accept and love yourself despite the flaws, that you can’t be someone else, so might as well be your best self

Optimus and Rodimus were two very different leaders. Optimus was a war leader - able to hold his men and his people together during extreme crisis, inspire them and drive them to fight on. Rodimus was a peace keeper, helping people and making sure that they can pursue lives of freedom and autonomy. They both uphold the ideas of the Autobot cause but in two different eras - but both proudly and with a pure spark.

And this is one of the many reasons season 3 had bad ratings kids want their heroes to be strong and confident the people saying they like this are adults and adults want the hero to be relatable but this was a show for children so it failed miserably and almost killed the brand.
