There’s gotta be more to it man. What’s the details of your NJP for it to result in an Admin Sep? I fail to understand that there was no support if you truly didn’t do anything wrong or whatever the case is. Idk the details so I can’t give a constructive opinion or even advice. It just doesn’t sit right with the lack of transparency per say. It is none of my business, however I just fail to understand this situation. Especially knowing how the Navy works… been in for almost 20. But good luck 🤙🏾

Hey man don’t let this deter you, you can pick up a good job on the outside but look now, apply yesterday. The military does take a lot from you and your family I agree, but it will eventually take from you again if you allow it once you’re out. It also gave you a lot too that you can and will reflect on later, experience, and ways you can professionally conduct yourself and other painfully great lessons. I wouldn’t say don’t follow orders or talk bad about the service in general, while you can express the issue and your feelings online you have to know the exact audience you’re speaking to as you know. Yes stand your ground but like the military taught you, do it with integrity, accountability and do it tactfully and with precision as you probably now know. I also wouldn’t have addressed this to social media in uniform, you did say you never know who’s who, this could be propaganda to younger enlisted and even newer commissioned officers. I don’t want to go too far off track yes stand your ground and beliefs, I always appreciate that but know the audience and its impact on you and viewer. I digress, if you ever need a battle buddy on the outside feel free to message me or look into the local resources that do exist, you aren’t alone through this and you won’t be alone as it pans out over time. You’ll be good brother, keep your feet going forward.

Good on you dude. I got out in April after 8 years. The navy definitely taught me a lot and I’m grateful but I am not a fan of the route we’re going.

I’m sorry this happened to you. It’s unfortunate, but you represent the military. You are the ambassador of the Navy. Your opinions, though you may not agree, reflect your service. And if you posted anything on social media, especially negative opinions of your service, then your leadership made a decision to take actions. I’m in the service and would never post anything negative about my service online, especially in uniform. I hope you bounce back from his life lesson and keep pushing forward. Good luck, man!

What tour leadership wants to happen to you is told to admin. I do legal work in the navy and countless of times the leadership tells us what they want.

I got out as a E-4 because I could never make E-5. Spent almost 2.5 years with Zero Quotas. Then got Navy Achievement, Army Achievement, and a MOVSM in one year and got a promotable eval. I realized it had nothing to do with knowing your rate.

I get it but you’re part of an organization that wants you to conform to what they want you to believe. It’s unfortunate but that’s just the way it is. I had the same issue and that’s why I got out. I was too much of an individual in an organization that wanted me to fall in line and say yes. Best of luck to you !

I would imagine since you said you meant every word you said, they felt that as you move through the ranks you would not be able to employ unbiased leadership. However, I wonder were you ever asked, how would your thoughts affect how you interact with your shipmates🤔. Nonetheless, I appreciate your video; it’s good you shared this perspective. Contact The Secretary of War, you may have grounds to get your case appealed. , but firstly from a 20 year retired veteran, don't share so much of yourself especially in uniform, have an opinion as an American not as someone representing the USN.

I’m glad that you’re taking accountability for your actions, but let’s get down to the facts. You, without anyone coercing you, signed a contract to support and defend this country. Going on social media making disloyal statements will get you fired, even in the civilian sector. Having your own opinions are fine, but when you speak negatively about the company you work for on a public platform, you represent that company. What you fail to realize is that even the deck Seamen that run around on the ship that aren’t doing anything at the moment will be molded into a great leader and they definitely serve a purpose. If we’re speaking about black and white, you violated the UCMJ and the social media protocols. I wish you nothing but luck on the outside, but please refrain from expressing your opinions on a social media platform about any workplace you choose to move to.
