I haven't been under 200 lbs in so long. I've been doing a calorie deficit and today I finally hit 199.5 🥹

If I am going on vacation is it reasonable to not track during that week to enjoy myself and just restart my journey when I get back? being mindful not to binge on vacation but not necessarily “restrict” myself

Before having a baby I lost almost 60lbs. Now, I struggle with a calorie deficit because I have to make my food, my child’s food (whom is going through a very picky eating 4 year old phase), and my husband food whom is also very picky. It’s exhausting 😩😩😩😩.

I feel like my deficit is near impossible. I’m only 4’10 and pretty sedentary during the week.

I needed to find this video! I’ve been eating very consistently in a calorie deficit for the last month and find myself getting anxious when I go over and it makes me want to restrict constantly. I’ve been healing from an ED, so it’s a struggle. The idea of a “bank” is really helpful!

I can manage the deficit no problem- but I cannot no matter how hard I try save and then I do drink on the weekends because that’s our only fun so then I’m always over 😭

I love this because it is so much better way less stressful and this is how I’ve been able to stick to it because one day I’ll have 1700 and another 1900 etc and I’m still within my calories

I’ve never heard of calorie banking but wow I love it and it feels less restrictive.. I’m gonna try this.

Is it normal that my weight goes up and down? I’m in calorie deficit my starting weight was 75kg then it went down to 73,3kg than to 73,7 and yesterday it was 74,1 I was like the hell is happening here 🥲

This is such a perfect way to explain it! Even on weight watchers you had extra points you could use every week. points= calories that’s why it works

When does your calorie deficit turn into your calorie maintenance and how do you continue to lose weight then if that happens?

Going by the week is genius!! I hate feeling like I have to restrict myself on holidays or birthdays. June is so hard because there’s my anniversary, my husband’s birthday and Father’s Day. I’m going to try and bank my calories.

My maintenance was so much higher than i thought for my height!! I’ve lost 5 points in a week eating an average of 1600 calories a day :) I accidentally fell asleep before dinner a few days ago and only ate like 500 calories that day, so the next day i treated myself the next day to one of my favorite restaurants. I gained a couple of pounds but after another day or two it went back down and evened out. This has been so much easier than other diets.

I realize it's probably a question for a doctor, not a TikTok vid... But. My maintenance is around 2800, my deficit goal is currently 2400 but because of a traumatic experience a year ago I'm struggling to get to 1000 a day and honestly it's more like 600-700 a day. I lift at the gym and walk a bit. I'm not losing weight. Is this because it's not enough calories?

My bmr is 1600, should I then be eating 1100 a day to be in a 500 calorie deficit?

How does exercise play into this? My app adds calories when I work out and sometimes I use them sometimes I don’t but will using them stop/slow my weight loss?
