The whole point of first movie is that it’s ok for her to NOT look better

The problem is that Fiona is supposed to represent a mother who is older and yet the character looks somehow even younger than before. They gave Shrek wrinkles but god forbid Fiona gets wrinkles. Also why did she need fuller lips? Why are thin lips frowned upon? What happened to the story of her choosing to be her true self and beautiful to herself over being percieved “beautiful” by society? I know its just a design choice but why can’t Fiona grow old but Shrek can?

“She looks way better here” but the whole Shrek plot revolves around the fact he sees her beauty even when she’s an ogress and everybody else thinks otherwise. Fiona isn’t meant to look like she got filler everywhere, she is beautiful her own way so I’m really disappointed they went for this kind of design for her and for this animation style in general. Something huge like the Shrek franchise shouldn’t be changed just for nowadays kids to appreciate it. We, as kids, used to love the stories despite the animation not being perfect, Shrek is a legendary saga and the magic of the stories depends on who watches it not on how modern and perfect the animations are designed. It’s just sad to me :(

It’s not about “looking better” it’s about looking like her character. They don’t have to make her prettier because the whole point was that they weren’t pretty.

The problem isn't that we don't like the design, the problem is the fact that they literally deaged her from how she appeared in the original movies. In the originals, she looked roughly mid 20s to me. At this point in the timeline, she's supposed to be around mid 40s to her 50s (and a mother to fully grown children), yet they made her look even younger than she did in the original??? Plus, subjecting her design to beauty standards goes against literally the entire plot line of the original movie.

She looks better in the new movie which i think bugs a lot of people. Theyre not supposed to be that pretty 😅 while Fiona is beautiful in the older movies as well, you can see they tried to ogre-ify her face, while in the new one she's just a green beautiful face
