@mdvmitarashi: How to get a digital tap and go Japanese IC transit card! ↳ Finally the “Welcome Suica Mobile" mobile transportation IC cards will be available for Samsung Galaxy smartphones sold overseas in 2027. The companies will work to introduce "Samsung Pay" as a payment method within the Suica app. ↳ Android smartphones, particularly models sold overseas, lacked the "FeliCa" communication function used by Japanese transportation IC cards, making compatibility impossible. This collaboration will resolve that barrier by Samsung implementing the FeliCa function in overseas Galaxy models slated for release from the first half of 2027, with the Galaxy S27 lineup likely among the first to include it. ↳ JR has also made it so that IC cardholders (Suica, Pasmo)will benefit from slightly lower fares than for paper tickets which increased of around 9% more. #transitcard #japan #japantravel #JapanTips #tutorial
