The longer a child is Rear-facing the safer they are(within the guidelines of their seat) but you as their mother are the only one that gets to decide when that happens once they meet the Forward-facing requirements. My older 2(31,26) were Forward-facing at 1 and 20lbs because that was the law back then. Then I took a CPST course and leaned so much information that my last 3 all rear-faced until 4.

I have 3 kids. My two younger ones who are both 2 are still rear facing. My eldest son (he’s now 13) stayed rear facing until he was about 4 years old.

I can definitely relate. I just changed my baby girl’s car seats facing forward they were definitely ready and I also gave my Car a good clean. You are an absolutely amazing mom people on the Internet, always have things to say💗 my little one does not like baby dolls, lol she throws them

we max out the seat specs for rear facing. if she can still safely ride rear facing, I recommend having her do so until she outgrows it

You should max out for rear facing. But talk to your pediatrician and/or first responders. They will tell you what they experience the best results in accidents.

As long as you are within the car seat’s limits for rear facing, you are fine! As a nanny, my baby didnt get switch to forward facing until this year when she turned 5. plus the longer they are rear facing the safer!!
