Solid spokes ARE springs. The springs he is using are superior in theory by having more travel, by sacrificing a lot of weight and energy efficiency. There are many more efficient ways to accomplish the goal of suspension—adding rotating weight with horizontal travel is one of the worst ways to accomplish that design goal

tire is gonna pop again. you gotta connect the springs through the small holes in the wheel. then flatten it so it stays and wont pop the tire.

I think for his idea to work he needs springs that can compress. These ones that are stretched and already under tension I don't think are gonna do much for shock absorption
