Amor #A2193503 is a puppy in urgent danger at North Central Shelter in Los Angeles. Without a foster or adopter by Thursday, June 25th at 4 pm, this innocent 1-year-old Shepherd mix will be euthanized for behaviors rooted in fear, excitement, and a lack of guidance. Amor first arrived at South LA Shelter in April 2025 as one of four puppies when he was just 6 weeks old. He was later transferred to West LA Shelter, adopted in June 2025, then unfortunately surrendered to North Central last month due to eviction. His former owner described him as “very sweet and loving.” They said he likes fetch, enjoys peanut butter and apples, and lived with a Goldendoodle. Volunteers report that Amor seeks out affection, leaning in for chin and head scratches. He knows “sit” and is eager to listen and learn. With his canine friends, he is social and enjoys rough, rowdy play. Because he’s a young gentleman without proper training, he can become overly excited at times, jump on people, and get mouthy during collaring or when handled around his face and neck. For this reason, Amor was chosen to die, even though runners say he improves with gentle petting and has never broken skin. He doesn’t deserve this harsh punishment. Please share his story everywhere, pledge support, or step forward to foster or adopt before the fast-approaching deadline. We cannot let Amor slip away alone, unseen and forgotten, like so many black dogs before him. Step up immediately so something minor and manageable doesn’t cost him his future. https://www.laanimalservices.com/pet/A2193503 Amor is located at North Central Shelter 3201 Lacy Street Los Angeles, CA 90031 888-452-7381 *Rescues please contact: Aimee.Rousey@lacity.org, Jaclyn.Kirkman@lacity.org Jennifer.curiel@lacity.org mario.ochoa@lacity.org veronica.perry@lacity.org #losangelesdogs #ladogs #californiadogs #northcentralshelter
