They at least gave you free access to Nightsoul with Kachina. If you used her then you weren't locked out of mechanics or bosses that SPECIFICALLY wanted Nightsoul. Lunar on the pther hand? Turns into Wallet Impact

1_ JAIL AND LIFE TIME BAN 2_ tbh, lvling up the weapons is easier than the characters 3_ kinda agree, but he's still a good dps and worth pulling for 4_ I have nothing to say here but... My BOILING Hot take: Lunar Bloom is NOT a reaction I'm sorry. I can't even call it a buff for the bloom reaction cuz it does NOTHING to make the reaction itself better. It's simply a mechanic for THREE characters. Like WTF do you mean the bloom cores created through lunar bloom reaction dont even do Lunar Bloom damage??

Lunar isn’t friendly bc of the lack of 4 star units,Night soul beats it out slightly thanks to the 4 stars and the free Kachina and pyro traveler. But besides that I don’t really love either mechanic

I agree with your idea on nightsoul, it was far less exclusive then Lunar is (having a bunch more 4 stars that were able to use the mechanic). But, the reason why I dislike Nightsould because it set a dangerous standard for the rest of the game that got worse in Nod-krai which is "We(hoyo) can add 5 star characters with exclusive and required mechanics and our player base will be forced to pull if they don't wanna fall behind in the meta". We can theorize that this rot may have actually started in Fontaine with them testing out how the player base would react to stuff like with the bond of life and the Pnuma and Ousia mechanics

100% agree with your take. At least nightsoul mechanics could be triggered by multiple 4 stars (who were also good supports on top of that) and not like lunar which could ONLY be triggered by 5 stars.

Okay so your Neuvilette argument makes no sense then if you don't actually play him??😭 He is still my one of my best dps and clears endgame extremely easily (in a team with Xilonen, Kazuha and Furina mind you so no Ineffa and Columbina)
