Self diagnosing yourself isn’t wishing you have the disorder, it’s typically the first step of actually getting diagnosed. It’s what helped me take the steps to finally getting diagnosed with mdd.

It’s actually really easy to diagnose yourself with depression but I feel you girl. I remember crying in the bathroom at school too… for hours. Behavioral health is the way to go. Whenever I begin to feel depressed I immediately get on medication. Meds aren’t for everyone but they saved my life so many times

But remember that being able to have a diagnosis is a privilege, especially as a minor. I grew up with a self diagnoses bc my parents didn’t care enough to get me help, turned 18 and was correct about my self diagnosis and got an actual diagnosis. & not everyone has healthcare or access to mental health help.

My anxiety got so bad I missed out on three years of school, school events, lost so many friends, and turned into a hypochondriac becuase of it. It’s so bad. I’ve missed out on so much and I will always have to live like this

MDD here too!!💘 Even with a healthy relationship, and years of therapy it can still feel like an uncontrollable wave that hits every so often. What’s helped me try to lesson things was spending extra time like during breakfast, lunch, dinner-bedtime being silent and lowering my stimuli. Ofc it doesn’t go away but it can help lesson my triggers💘sending you love!

yall understand as somebody who has access to therapist and healthcare not everybody does and if they’re a minor not everybody’s parents care enough to help them get diagnosed some people just need answers and they could be right and could be wrong just for those people i would use “ i think i have “ instead of “ i have “ because you’re not sure and just because someone’s symptoms isn’t as obvious as yours doesn’t mean they don’t also have it never make anyone feel invalidated because you’re not the same !!
