@utatune: sasane’s “mosi mosi?” has been heard by millions around the world, and behind this viral hit is its producer and songwriter, Tamico Mukoda! I recently read an interview* where Mukoda shared how her music is deeply inspired by the Japan’s retro pop aesthetics of the late ’80s and early ’90s. For “mosi mosi?”, she also explained that she didn’t set out to create a viral hit. Instead, she spent time talking with sasane about everything from the music she loves to everyday life. The goal was to create a song that simply felt true to who sasane is. Mukoda also releases music as an artist too! The second song featured in this video hasn’t been fully released yet, but I wanted to include it as I thought it felt right for summer!
