Another good point is that no native Australian animals have hooves. The Australian environment did not evolve with hooves causing more erosion/compaction etc.

I agree with everything your saying but I think that they should be killed in a better way. I think Aerial shooting leaves too much room for error and more often than not leaves them to suffer more than necessary

Does your country have programs like the us for Mustangs? They will pay ranchers to feed and give land to herds of wild horses. They separate them by sex to lower their breeding without an official cull.
