He is a Seychelles giant tortoise and the average life expectancy of his species is 150. His age is a conservative estimate and he is likely older than we think. Jonathan, also known as Jono, resides on the island of St Helena, after arriving from the Seychelles in 1882. In his near 200 year lifetime, he has lived through major milestones in modern world history.
