Why is it ALWAYS the mothers fault. Kids have a mind of their own, they make terrible choices ALL OF THE TIME. Accidents happen. She’s clearly absolutely beside herself.

There is no reason why a child this age shouldn’t know how to swim. Knowing how to swim is so important. Parents need to do better. Happy the boy is okay because this could have ended much worse.

in Canada, our elementary school took us to the swimming pool to teach us how to swim. I think they do that for everyone. that needs to be universal

And I believe a form of child neglect is NOT teaching your children to swim! Swimming lessons SHOULD BE NORMALIZED FROM A YOUNG AGE! It’s BASIC SURVIVAL!!!
