@charlottemeakin_: For everyone asking for an update on beautiful Nellie… ❤️ Of course, Nellie has been seen by a vet, who confirmed that her seizures are stress/PTSD-related. The good news is that she is doing so much better. Her nightmares and seizures are becoming less frequent, and she’s really starting to enjoy life. She has even begun to play — something that is incredibly special to watch. At the moment, her favourite toys are the soft ones that crinkle 🥰 Seeing her personality emerge more and more each day is an absolute privilege. She still has difficult days, and moments that remind us life hasn’t always been kind to her. Her scars, both visible and not will always be there, but we truly believe she knows now that she is safe, loved, and that this peace is forever. Stories like Nellie’s are why rescue matters. Behind every frightened dog is a dog waiting for the chance to feel secure, loved, and understood. Nellie sends her love and gratitude to every one of you. Every message, every kind word, and every bit of love you’ve shown her has been passed on.
