@crave.melb: 🇦🇺🇲🇾 Can’t believe I’ve been in Melbourne for 3 years and only just tried this spot 😭 And now I completely understand why there’s always a queue. The first thing I noticed? Almost every table was Malaysian 😂 That’s usually a pretty good sign. Lulu Char Koay Teow has been serving the same Penang hawker recipe for years, and their char koay teow is everything you’d expect — smoky, packed with wok hei, and cooked fresh plate by plate over high heat 🇲🇾 But the biggest surprise for me was actually the koay teow th’ng (reminds me of my kuey teow noodle soup at the nearby kopitiam near my home 🥹) On a cold Melbourne day that comforting broth with silky flat rice noodles was exactly what I needed. Lowkey one of the most underrated Malaysian dishes!! No wonder they’ve grown from a single store to 3 locations across Melbourne: 📍 Hardware Lane CBD 📍 Chadstone 📍 Doncaster If you’ve been craving authentic Penang-style food, add this one to your list. Thanks for having me @luluckt ❤️ . . . . . #melbournemalaysianfood #melbournecontentcreator
