Alagna lived up to the hype👇🏻🇮🇹
The Snomad community had put it on my radar for uncrowded slopes, great value and huge freeride potential, and I can see exactly why! A beautiful, non-touristy, traditional Italian village in the Monterosa ski area with quiet (mainly) red and black runs, amazing scenery, and on this trip I got lucky with bluebird days, golden skies and an unreal cloud inversion 🌤️☁️✨ There’d been a warm snap before I arrived, so I didn’t get the best powder conditions, but skiing the Punta Indren itinerary and a bit of off-piste was enough to see how good the lift-accessed freeride could be when the conditions line up - it’s called the Monterosa Freeride Paradise for a reason! ⛷️🏂 The village itself is chilled, authentic and non-touristy, with great food, a nice wine bar, and a couple of good spots for post-ski beers & snacks 🍝🍷🍺
 Stayed at Alagna Mountain Resort & Spa — lovely rooms (although with very dodgy wi-fi), a great spa, and an indoor/outdoor pool surrounded by mountains, for around €850 for 5 nights with breakfast. Only 2 hours from Milan airport 🚗
