Since this a safe place, I’m gonna share this too. I don’t even know how many times I’ve been to Thailand since I was a kid countless times. I picked up a little Thai just from visiting so often. My family used to go there for medical checkups every few months, and sometimes we’d fly there just for a short trip. I also grew up listening to Thai songs because my parents spent part of their childhood near the Thai border during one of Cambodia’s hardest times. My favorite song has always been เพียงสองเรา. But no matter how much I loved those memories, I just can’t bring myself to go back anymore. I choose not to. I choose not to go or step in again 💔

I literally miss Thai music and Thai movies so much, sometimes I wish there were just not any war. My parents and I live near the border of Thailand, they literally owned a small shop there and ever since the border has been closed, they literally couldn’t make any money and I feel so bad for them :(( literally tho a border used to full of people and now it’s just silence, imagine how it is!!

Im deeply hurt by the conflict between Cambodia and Thailand I grew up near the Thai border and literally my parents own a small shop there. Since the conflict began everything has changed, business has become much slower and my family even has a struggling financially. It’s painful to see how a political conflict can affect ordinary people who are simply trying to make a living🙁

@Icallitdestiny: My aunt married to my uncle in law who’s Thail and they got two beautiful sons who I loved deeply. They were both lived with me since they were little. And when my aunt got a good live and can provide a life for them too they come to live there in Thailand but they usually visit when the big celebrations but since the war the new year seems not the same. I miss my two brothers so badly and not to be dramatic I’m tearing while writing this.
