Just be cautious. Id never buy something new the first year it’s released. 2nd or 3rd year any issues should be addressed and fixed.

I’m an automotive technician at a Chevy dealership and I’m so happy they’re finally getting rid of 6.2 and 5.3. The last gen was a complete disaster. I’ve lost count of amount of 5.3 and 6.2 engines I’ve had to replace. Personally the only good gas engine to come out for the trucks big and small are the 2.7 and 6.6 engine’s. Very reliable and easy to work on when the few issues they have come up. But personally my all time favorite engines are the early LS engines and classic 5.7 engines 👌

Vehicle manufacturers constantly find ways to make their vehicles less desirable. The notorious unreliable 3.0 is staying, but the 26 year old 5.3 that has been the staple of GM is going. If they wanted to do something good bring the 5.3 with no cylinder deactivation back.
