@jeanne_retired: Replying to @Philly8980 many people struggle in retirement, it’s a massive transition! The key is to figure out why, what is causing your struggle? It can be hard to pinpoint, but give it some thought as it will help you solve for it. And if you want to go back to work that’s okay too! #retirement #retirementplanning #retired #over50
I absolutely can’t wait. My job makes me miserable and it’s only has been in the last 2 years. My body and mind can’t handle the pressure and I’m physically sick

Makes sense. Find out why you are struggling in retirement, then try to fix it. Or go back to work. Whatever works!

My first day of retirement today. It felt so strange, I did keep busy today.

I dunno if I’m ok with it. It’s been 5 months. Weirdly feel guilty when I do “nothing.” Miss my colleagues too. 🤨

I did consulting for 2 years to ease into retirement at age 54. After being retired for about a year I couldn’t go back. Give yourself some time. Great advice Jeanne!

I love it! Retired 3/2025- re-invent your self! Push yourself to try new things. I started to learn boxing-what a workout! I built a YouTube channel for birds, learning all that while working on an app to support it. Learn AI.. it's so easy-- it teaches you the tools and how to use them.

Completely bored. My husband still works. 12 hour shifts. You’d better be very financially prepared to travel. At 41 years at my job I lost my identity. I have 7 grandchildren but they are all in school during the year. Struggling terribly ☹️

It does take time. At one year in I am realizing I’ve been on hold - time to figure things out.

I don’t know if I’m formally retired, but two months into a break and I’m trying to figure it all out! It’s sooo weird to not work. 😂

I retired 10 months ago and have not really stopped to think about it. Moving house, gardening, travelling, planning renovations as well getting outdoors and working on my fitness. I have not missed work at all, despite a long career that took all my time.
