and the thing is that beauty standard has shifted ! people were and are getting surgeries to emulate black women and east asian women and are constantly taking the fashion and stylings of every single culture to have ever lived but it’s so weird bc to an extent white standards still reign supreme. they like when white women cut themselves up trying to emulate women of color, but not women of color who are born with the beauty being emulated. they love wearing south east asian garments and trying out every style black people have ever made ever, but mock and denigrate those same people for wearing what they’ve been wearing this entire time. they want everything these people have without all the parts they find undesirable, “too ethnic” “too ghetto”, they desire the look with none of the heart, culture, and struggle that it brings and in fact they love to push that struggle upon them. it’s twisted and they must be dealt with.
