#stitch with @Ann Russell She/Her & @cathlyndavisdesign . Also, I realize that it’s not always feasible to have a house that’s gonna change and patina, especially if you’re renting it out or if you don’t plan on staying in the home for more than five years, it does make sense to have a home that is going to look new for resale value, blah blah blah, but I do think patina is why many people, not everyone, but many people feel inspired by going to a 300-year-old bistro in Paris, it tells a story because of the wear, grime and patina. so you know if your goal, like I said in the video, is to have a home that is 100% clean all the time pop off, you do you. No hate towards this woman who is a cleaner. She said something that I think a lot of people don’t consider when they are designing their home, which is “how easy is this to clean?” I ask my clients that and then I design accordingly if that’s what they want. Often times people land somewhere in the middle, they want some things that are going to patina and some of the things are gonna stay new looking. I just wanted to add that in there especially because there were a lot of comments on the cleaner‘s video that pissed me off! People were dogging on interior designers. It’s like no girl, I’m so sick of it. I’m sick of people acting like interior designer don’t know what they’re doing because the reality is that Cathlyn Davis, the designer of this project, likely had these conversations with her client before selecting those things. Let me know if you totally agree or not.
