Dear sweet Emilie, when I was just a young mom, we lived with family that had a pool. There was no fence, no door arms, no extra precautions. I was napping with my two year old, like we always did, and I woke up, and he was not next to me. I scrambled through the house looking for him, only to see the back door open. He was two steps away from the swimming pool. I could have very easily been in your very shoes. Anyone that ever shows you anything other than empathy and kindness, is no one to listen to. I have never admitted this incident happened to anyone other than my husband. I think it’s so important to be transparent, and how fragile our lives really are. I hope and pray everyday, that you find a way to make it through this. You will forever be Trigg’s mommy 💕

People have no empathy. Anyone who’s watched a toddler knows how quickly they can leave your sight. It’s impossible to have eyes on a child at all times. Especially sleep deprived parents with a newborn. It can happen to anyone

I listened this morning on Jay Shetty’s on purpose podcast. Tears in my eyes the entire time. She is so brave and emotionally mature in how she deals with this devastating loss. I have no doubt she will help in saving another child’s life. Love you so much Emilie. 🥺💓🙏

the ones on here that are scolding her, imagine you made a mistake you regret more than anything in the world. losing your world. then you have other humans scolding you and judging while you are at your lowest point ever. To be her, I can imagine everyday is terribly difficult. They know. They are well aware. I know they would give up everything to change things if they could. We are all human and sometimes learn the hard ways. Get off your virtual high horses. She is using her platform to spread awareness and to have some type of normalcy. You have all made mistakes you regret, some smaller, some bigger and if you havent then give it time you will.. why comment?
