Eine Begegnung mit Morgan. Das Orca-Weibchen, um das seit Jahren heftig gestritten wird. Morgan ist 2010 in den Niederlanden gefunden worden, abgemagert und dehydriert. Sie sollte „vorübergehend“ in den @loroparque kommen, um aufgepäppelt zu werden. Kurze Zeit später ging es ihr besser, nur wurde sie nie wieder in die Freiheit entlassen. Als ich den Loroparque besucht habe, hat sie hochschwanger 2x täglich an den lauten Shows teilnehmen müssen. Inklusive mit ihrem dicken Babybauch auf die Betonplattform springen und adrüber rutschen. Sie hat kaum eine Wahl denn: keine Tricks, kein Futter. Mittlerweile ist sie seit 15 Jahren in einem Swimmingpool. Sie hat verlernt lebendigen Fisch zu fangen und ihr Gehör ist eingeschränkt. Ihr erstes Junge ist mit deformiertem Kopf geboren und im Alter von 3 Jahren gestorben. 💔 Morgan wird vermutlich auch mit ihrem neuen Jungen nicht richtig kommunizieren können und das wird zu Frustration führen. Morgan wird nie wieder die Freiheit sehen, aber man könnte ihr einen würdigen Lebensabend bieten, in dem man sie in eine präparierte Meeresbucht (Sanctuary) übersiedelt. Es gibt grandiose, neue Konzepte für solche Auffangstationen für Orcas und Delfine aus Delfinarien. Das wichtigste bis es eines Tages vielleicht dazu kommt ist: die ZUCHT muss enden und die SHOWS. Und WIR müssen dafür sorgen, dass keiner mehr hingeht. Ich stand lange bei Morgan und sie ist die ganze Zeit da geblieben und hat meine Kopfbewegungen imitiert.
