Beans should snap when they are ready to be picked if you bend it in half it should snap if it bends it’s not ready to be picked them beans look soft

I have never pruned mine. It’s pollinating those suckers that is usually my problem because I don’t get as much of a harvest some years as I want. But that doesn’t look to be your issue!

My grandma had a ton of green bean plants so I've ate those since I was little. Green beans are the only vegetable that I like lol.

Religiously harvest before they get thick and tough and they will continue to produce. No pruning needed.
