Like this would be cute in a different context but for YEARS they had been built up as evil/not good/intimidating/rude, all these qualities associated with being an antagonist, while being associated with one of the biggest antagonist groups!! I don’t think it was strictly necessary for them to be totally evil, but what was the point of building them up to be at the very least intimidating and stoic, then all of sudden lean into this cutesy friendship thing that we’ve already seen a thousand times throughout the game? It doesn’t feel like it’s overcoming expectations in a way that makes sense, it’s just doing a total 180 with no buildup, no relevant backstory, and no foreshadowing

yes I will say after the new region the fatui are not the same as they used to be but I personally think that showing us that the harbingers where genuine people and had lives outside the gnosis quest is nice

Honestly I think the problem isn't that the harbingers are friends with each other I think the biggest problem is when Genshin only shows that side of them like are we forgetting how Signora and Arlechinno were moving in the archon quests??
