Beware of galvanized pipes and knob and tube wiring! Those were my big no nos because 1) galvanized pipes rust from the inside out and you won’t know until it’s too late aka huge flood and $8k in repairs. 2) knob and tube is known for electrical fires 😬

Try to get a mold dog! they can sniff mold behind walls and places where you can't usually see it because if there's mold it will need to get fixed

Love old houses! It’s been my experience that inspectors pick them apart. I backed out once because of an inspector’s recommendation and regret it. Now I don’t bother with inspections and If something is wrong or broken, I just fix it as it comes up.
