It could be noted that while it's relatively straightforward to identify coding DNA ie genes in DNA sequences it's not so easy to identify DNA involved other processes such as regulatory elements and non coding RNA. Such elements are being discovered all the time so there is an unknown amount of "junk" DNA.

I have real trouble visualising DNA not just its structure but how our bodies use it. I gather DNA not used is evolutionary, makes me wonder what is next.
