@missnearingsmontessori: Talking to your baby doesn’t have to mean having full conversations all day long. 💛 Narrate what you’re doing, describe what they see, wonder out loud, sing songs, label emotions, and invite them into your everyday life. Every word they hear helps build the foundation for language, connection, and learning. What are your favorite ways to talk with your baby throughout the day? #MontessoriBaby #LanguageDevelopment #BabyDevelopment #MontessoriAtHome #parentingtips

Maria | Montessori Explained :
my favorite was to talk to her like shes the voice in my head / as if she's her future self who CAN respond. "OK where did dad leave his socks? of course they're on the bed, can you believe that? I know, I KNOW how SILLY of him" she was usually very babbly/vocal in response to this and spoke early with a large vocabulary and is still very much so! I like to think that helped even tho I felt crazy doing it at the time. and of course, daily reading before every nap and sleep and during wake windows!

12-18 month old teacher here,I think our babies get tired of us talking to them constantly all day long hahahaha. We are always narrating our entire day and it really helps their language development for sure🙂

I always tell my kiddo the run down of the day too. “We’re going to eat breakfast then go to the library and grab lunch before we come home for nap time.”

well, at least my speech to text works well because that’s primarily how I text now if only I could get my phone to read my texts back to me🤣

I got weird looks when I would talk to a baby while out and about. Like I was crazy because they don’t talk back.

I told my husband while he was bathing our son to explain what he’s doing in order for him to learn more words. Next thing I know, I hear him singing, “We are scrubbing your butt and balls.” 🤦🏼‍♀️Not what I had in mind 🥲🫠
