This is not racism; it is more accurately described as classism. South Korea is a highly hierarchical society in which social status is often influenced by wealth, education, professional position, and personal connections. As a result, various forms of discrimination can occur not only between different groups but also among South Korean people. Discrimination is everywhere in the world.
