The Scourge by Roberto Calas is an excellent example of an author who is deeply passionate for his story. He pauses several times throughout the book just to share insight into the historical aspects of his story. You can tell he loved every second of writing this book and I highly recommend it to everyone who likes medieval knights and zombies!

the story im currently working on is a reoccurring hyperfixation that i have and about a character i created for art aesthetic purposes years ago. I won't lie, I decided to start with an idea I care a lot less about because I felt like I needed to get the practice in to do other ideas justice. I do think I'm a lot better at this now than I was 60k words ago, and I've slowly fallen in love with a lot of this current story, but I'll be excited to start a different project when I get there

I think to answer these too, is im looking to flesh out my story more and before I step back into the world i sort of made, I want to re edit things to intertwine my culture and practice (norse paganism) and use both history's as my inspiration this time
