To every woman trying to be Superwoman… If there’s one thing I’ve learned through my healing journey, my health challenges, and everything life has thrown at me, it’s this: You cannot pour from an empty cup. So many of us spend our lives trying to be everything for everyone. We work, parent, support, organise, clean, remember, plan, and carry the mental load of an entire household. We convince ourselves that asking for help means we’re failing. But it doesn’t. One of the hardest lessons I’ve had to learn is that not everything has to be done by you. The housework will still be there tomorrow. The laundry can wait. The emails can wait. But your health can’t. Your wellbeing can’t. Your peace can’t. If you’re exhausted, listen to your body. It’s speaking to you for a reason. If someone offers help, accept it. If you can delegate, delegate. If you have the means to get a cleaner, do it without guilt. If your partner, children, family or friends can share the load, let them. You were never meant to carry everything alone. I’ve also learned that sometimes healing isn’t about adding more to your life it’s about removing things. Decluttering your home, your diary, your commitments, and even your expectations of yourself can create so much more space to breathe. Remember this: you are not here simply to serve everyone else’s needs. You matter too. Your health matters. Your happiness matters. Your rest matters. Taking time for yourself isn’t selfish it’s necessary. And if anyone makes you feel guilty for setting boundaries, slowing down, asking for help, or putting your wellbeing first, remember that their discomfort is not your responsibility. You do not need permission to take care of yourself. You do not need to justify doing what you need to do to survive, heal, and thrive. Because the strongest women aren’t the ones who do everything alone. They’re the ones who know when to ask for help, when to slow down, and when to choose themselves. Stop trying to be Superwoman. Be human. Be kind to yourself. And give yourself the same care you so freely give to everyone else. ❤️ #HealingJourney #healing #mentoring #HealthyLiving #secondchance
